Atlast Monsoon drenches Patna

At last after long wait, monsoon has drenched the city of Patna. Since yesterday, the city is witnessing intermittent rain. This has brought down the temperature, however humidity has increased. It may be noted that this is the first thorough rain of the city. The first rain had occurred on the morning of 18th June, followed by stormy rain on 25th and few small afterward, but heavy rain was awaited. The monsoon had weakened down after entering the region on 19th June.

This South-West monsoon is expected to bring more rain in the coming 24 hours also due to the development of cyclonic pressure belt over Bihar region. Yesterday, 4.9 mm rain was recorded in Bihar region on an average.

The rain has cooled down the temperature, however it has made the life of people difficult. Rain water has accumulated in most part of the city. The garbage has drenched and spread, causing a foul smell in the locality. The hyped preparation of Patna Municipal Corporation has failed down sadly.
