The famous Rajgir Mahotsav will start from 28th December this year and will last for 3 days ( Dec. 28 - Dec. 30) in Rajgir. The famed dance and music festival has became a much attracted event in the diary of State Tourism Department (BSTDC) which showcases the cultural aspect. Nitish Kumar will inaugurate the Mahotsav as well as the newly-built Rajgir Convention Centre. The 'Sufi' rendition of noted singer Jila khan and playback singer Sukhvinder Singh will herald the three day event.
The second day of the event will be marked by the folk songs of Simran Sukla and classical dancer maestro Uday Kumar Mallik. Singer Nitu Kumari, Bharat Natyam dancer Simarnova Rajhans, Sukhbinder Singh, Kathak dancer Fracie would also perform. Beside, the artists of art, culture and youth affairs department will display their talent on the second day as well. On the last day of the event, Ritika Raj of Indian Idol fame will be seen enchanting the audience with the magic of her voice. Noted singer, Kanchan Bala will also delight the audience with her musical rendition. Also, the classical songs of Kumud Jha Diwan, Anu Sinha's Kathak performance and Anil Dubey's folk song will floor the audience.
Rajgir is one of the most famous tourist spot of the State.The place is dotted with historic places like Akhara of Jarasandh, Santi Stupa, Jivakameaven Gardens, Ajatsatru's Fort, Karanda Tank, Bimbisar jail, Pippala Cave, Swarn Bhandar, Hot Springs and many other places.
